Stories about love found in the most wonderfully inconvenient places — because the best happily-ever-afters are the ones nobody saw coming.

"Every candle I pour is a love story waiting to be written."
— MargueriteMarguerite Hollis has loved love stories since the age of seven, when she convinced herself that the boy who threw a snowball at her head was definitely her soulmate. (He was not. He moved to Ohio. She has since forgiven him — mostly.)
She spent four transformative years at an all-women's college, where she majored in English Literature and minored in Unrequited Pining. She was lucky to graduate at all — because alongside every required paper and assigned reading, she was quietly filling notebooks with stories of her own. Her professors called her "charmingly distracted." Her roommates called it "very on brand."
These days, Marguerite writes from a sun-drenched corner of the house she shares with her sister and best friend, Celeste — a woman who has heard every draft of every chapter and still hasn't changed the Wi-Fi password on her. That, Marguerite will tell you, is the truest form of love.
When she isn't writing, she is tending to her sunflowers, pouring candles in scents that have names like Second Chance Autumn and Champagne at Closing Time, and firmly believing that midlife is not an ending — it's the best plot twist of all.
Her debut novel arrives in 2026. She is already nervous. Celeste is already proud.
